Modern Pain Management

At Modern Pain Management, we believe pain care should be personal, thoughtful, and focused on helping patients get back to living with greater comfort and confidence. Pain can affect every part of life, from work and sleep to movement, independence, and emotional well-being. Our goal is to help patients understand the source of their pain, explore meaningful treatment options, and move toward better function, mobility, and quality of life.

Located in Libertyville, IL, Modern Pain Management provides patient-centered care for individuals dealing with spine pain, back pain, neck pain, joint pain, nerve pain, and other painful conditions that interfere with daily living. Dr. Mariam El-Baghdadi

Dr. Mariam El-Baghdadi brings more than 15 years of experience in medicine and interventional pain care to Modern Pain Management. Her approach combines advanced medical training with thoughtful, individualized care, taking the time to understand each patient’s concerns, explain their options, and develop a treatment plan based on their needs and goals.

Dr. El-Baghdadi earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed anesthesiology residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She went on to complete fellowship training in pain management at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she served as Chief Fellow. She also earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Known to many patients as Dr. E, she is committed to caring for her patients with the same thoughtfulness, attention, and compassion she would give to a member of her own family.
